Live Bagpipes

Our Pre-Game exhibition went so well last year we wanted to do it again this year. May 19, 2001, Noon to 2pm come on down to the Farmers Market and experience a little of Scotland in front of the Boundary Bay Brewery. We will be naming the official Ale of the 2001 Bellingham Scottish Highland Games personally brewed by Ed Bennett and The Boundary Bay Brewery. We will then be tapping the keg and sampling what will truly be a fine Scottish Ale brewed in the Scottish Tradition. Join us for some athletic competitions such as the Sheaf toss, Weight for Height and the famed Farmers Walk. There will also be Scottish Dancing by some very talented individuals to traditional and modern Celtic/Scottish music. We will have the Bellingham Pipe Band on hand inside and outside the Bistro to play some wonderful Scottish Pipe music for your listening pleasure. We welcome you to join in the dancing and athletics and of course the sampling of the ale. So come on down to the Farmers Market and enjoy a wonderful show just two weeks before the Bellingham Highland Games at Hovander Homestead Park!!!
